Welcome to my Costa Rica Blog! In anticipation of retiring from teaching in 6 years I recently traveled to Costa Rica to check out the possibilities. I stayed in Tamarindo, on the Pacific North Coast, on Playa Grande, where the great prehistoric Leatherback turtle's come every year to lays their eggs. Its also a legendary location for surfing the perfect wave. Costa Rica has alot to offer. It's tropical rainforests and lowland forests are home to a diverse population of wildlife, exciting eco-tours, and many types of volcanic activity. You and I will learn more about this unique place in Central America. We will explore the culture, history and geography, as well as, the meaning of preserving our planets resources through eco-tourism. Costa Rica's mantra is "Pura Vida"! "Pure Life".
